Congratulations on your engagement!!

The excitement of wedding planning can now commence! With lots to think about and start planning here is an insight of how booking in your makeup artist goes.

Booking your Venue will be top of the list but once your date and venue is secured I would encourage you to book your chosen makeup artist. You will not be surprised to find out that I can get booked up to 2 years in advance.

In order to secure me as your makeup artist all you need to do is to send through an enquiry, detailing your chosen date and time of the wedding (especially the time you need to be ready for) and the location you are getting ready at.  If I have your date available I will then contact you to secure the booking and arrange for the deposit of £50 to be paid to secure the date. I aim to only book in one wedding on each day, but timing is important as I will need to plan travel time to and from the venue, and I often have appointments to get back to my studio for.

This is the perfect time to chat about options, test product performance, swatch colours and a time where you find out which makeup style suits you best. 

​

I recommend having a trial within the 6 month lead up to your wedding day. 

The trial usually takes between 1.5 hours to 2 hours, during which time I gain insight into what look you want to achieve or if you are undecided we can work together to find this out. 

If you wish to try more looks and are likely to need more than the allotted time a second trial can be booked.

Chosen products are documented and photos are taken of your finished look. 

Trials can be arranged for mother of the bride/groom, bridesmaids and any other member of your bridal party upon request. 

Trials take place at the Lucy Payne Makeup studio in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Ahead of your wedding day, together we will arrange a bespoke schedule for yourself and your bridal party. 

 

Its your wedding day!!

Get ready to amaze everyone with your stunning bridal makeup look created with love, care, skill and attention to detail by myself.

As soon as you confirm your bridal booking I will help you work out your morning beauty prep schedule. So that on the day you can be assured I know exactly when to arrive. Enabling you take a seat in my makeup chair, relax and enjoy the process whist I use my skills and experience to create the look of your dreams.

Your bridal makeup will take approximately 1 hour - 1.5 hours depending on how glam you decide to go. 

The rest of the bridal party's makeup can take between 45mins - 50 mins per person.

It's then time for you to get into your dress, shoes and complete your stunning look. I will be on hand for any last minute touch ups so don't worry!! Your day will be as special as you look and feel.
