DEFINITIONS
The Client: The recipient of the service
The Company: Lucy Payne Makeup
The Agreement: The contract that exists between the Client and the Company for the agreed fee
The Fee: The amount payable by the Client to the Company for the service in the agreement.
The Event: Relates in principle to the date whereby the event (i.e. the wedding)
takes place.
The Party: Persons in addition to the client requiring services at the event. Additional members of the bridal party.
The Studio: Lucy Payne Makeup Artistry Studio
BOOKING OF THE EVENT
The booking of the event is only reserved once the client has paid a retainer to the company.
The non-refundable retainer of £50 to be paid by the client it is then taken off the wedding day fee.
Please note that the booking is not final until the reservation fee has been paid in full and the company has confirmed receipt of the retainer fee.
The trial is paid for at the time of trial.
If paying by bank transfer, this must be paid at least 7 days before.
RESPONSIBILITY OF THE CLIENT
The client shall inform the company of any issues that may affect the use of any equipment or products. This includes but is not limited to sensitivities, allergies and medical conditions. The company cannot be held liable for any losses or damage that is incurred due to the clients failure to inform the artist of any known condition.
The company reserves the right to refuse service to the client or members of the party for, but not limited to, abusive and threatening behaviour.
CANCELLATIONS
At any point the client can cancel the event by informing the company. If the client cancels a wedding booking within 30 days notice, there will be no cancellation fees. However any less and the client will have to pay 50% of the agreed fee.
Cancellations by the company due to circumstances including, but not limited to, problems rendering their performance and where no other suitable alternative can be given - will result in a refund to the client of the trial and booking fee. No further compensation will be offered.
If the booking is directly affected by circumstances beyond the control of the company, every possible endeavour to rectify such situations will be made, however no compensation will be offered on the company's part. The client is strongly advised to take out wedding insurance to cover against such situations.
EXCLUSIVITY
Exclusivity is not guaranteed for the whole day of the event, therefore timings will be seriously considered when agreeing to any booking.
It is unlikely that there will be another event on the day, and any second event undertaken by the company will not affect the first event.
An exclusivity fee can be arranged if preferred.
PHOTOGRAPHY
The client agrees that the makeup artist may use any photography for publicity purposes which include but are not limited to the company's website and social media pages.
TRAVEL EXPENSES
The company will travel for free within a 10 mile radius of St Neots, Cambridgeshire. A charge of 45p per mile will be added outside of this area including the return journey.
The client will cover any necessary travel expenses of the makeup artist as agreed at the time of booking. This is to include, should it be required, congestion charging and parking charges.
VENUE CHANGE
Quite often venues will not allow us into the bridal suite early enough on the morning of the wedding. If we set up at one location and pack up to drive to the wedding venue to then set up again then a fee of £25 per artist will be added to the total wedding fee. A fee is added to cover time spent setting up/ packing down / setting up again as this will incur an earlier start time overall.
ASSISTANTS
On some occasions I may need to bring an assistant to help out at your wedding morning if time is not on our side. There is no additional hire fees added for me to bring an assistant however an extra travel fee may incur depending on where they are travelling from. I will notify you of full travel costs when quoting.
ADDITIONAL IMPORTANT DETAILS
Individual or strip lash application is included in the price for the makeup service, there is no reduction in price for any makeup service if they are declined.
If a second makeup trial is requested then the same fee applies as for the first trial.
PLEASE NOTE THAT BY SECURING A BOOKING AND/OR PURCHASING A GIFT VOUCHER THE CLIENT ACCEPTS THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
